WhatsApp Marketing Automation SaaS for E-commerce. (B2B2C – Shopify-integrated automation platform).
The challenge
Shopify merchants needed a way to create complex, personalized WhatsApp campaigns without coding or relying on external tools. Existing processes were fragmented, time-consuming, and difficult to maintain — leading to lower engagement and missed sales opportunities.
The challenge was to design an intuitive, visual interface that could handle complex logic (triggers, conditions, delays, and actions) while staying easy to use for small and medium business owners.
My role
Led the design of the Flows automation feature from discovery to launch, defining the entire end-to-end experience.
Collaborated closely with PMs, engineers, and customer success to gather requirements and identify user pain points.
Conducted user research and competitive analysis to define key automation patterns for e-commerce.
Created high-fidelity prototypes in Figma, iterating based on usability testing sessions with merchants.
Designed a scalable Tailwind-based Design System with over 800 reusable components to ensure consistency and speed across the product.
Improved related features such as onboarding, campaign creation, and analytics to support the automation experience.
The outcome
Successfully launched the Flows automation feature, enabling store owners to build WhatsApp marketing sequences visually in minutes.
